There are certain events you hear about when you take the plunge into the craft beer world that are must-do’s. The most obvious include The Great American Beer Festival and Colorado’s Brewer Festival. Among the lesser known is Big Beers Belgians & Barleywines Festival in Vail Colorado; a winter paradise that features small crowds and direct access to world class brewers pouring their own beers.

January 7th-9th, join Julia Herz and Chef Adam Dulye from the Brewer’s Association for Brewmaster’s dinners , mingle with the who’s who of the beer world, sip on Belgian rarities that will heat you up from the inside, and attend seminars from Adam Avery (Avery Brewing), Tom Hawn (Dogfish Head Craft Brewery) Geoff Larson (Alaskan Brewery) and Omar Ansari (Surly Brewery.) Fun extras include a beer and cigar pairing, a “Yoga of Brewing” session, and an experimental brewing session focusing on “Koelschips” featuring brew celebrities Jeffrey Stuffings, Founder of Jester King Brewery, Austin, TX, Chase Healy of Prairie Brewing Company, and Jason Yester, Owner of TRiNiTY.

All seminars can accommodate 75 people. A small $10 donation can save your seat at any specific seminar, but otherwise, these sessions are offered at no extra charge. Tickets for the commercial tasting are $70. More information can be found at www.bigbeersfestival.com

Cheers,

We’ll See you there!
